              Biography

“The theater, the theater, what’s happened to the theater?” This quote, found in the movie, “White Christmas,” starring Bing Crosby, sets the stage for future comedy, inspirational film, and television screenwriter Rachel Bingham. Raised in Indiana and homeschooled, she always loved theater and the world of entertainment. With a heart full of big dreams, but never encouraged to achieve them, she was derailed into a world she couldn’t call her own.  Attending college for Occupational Therapy, she longed for the theater and the world of entertainment. Determined to pursue her love for entertainment, in the world she lost, she found her way to the art of writing; a skill she had but never fully explored.  This led her to Full Sail University, where she earned her BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment.

Living out her love for creating entertainment, Rachel discovered her voice and style of writing, venturing back to the classic comedy TV shows such as “I Love Lucy,” “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” and “Full House.” She hopes to write for Disney Channel or ABC Family. Her stories always include a subtle God message that strengthens her themes and offers hope to the audience, in almost everything she writes. In conclusion, Rachel hopes you find her portfolio and resume compelling and full of potential.

As Rachel works toward her goal of writing for television, she is crafting a screenplay about self-image and eating disorders, an issue close to her heart. She is also developing an original script for a TV show titled, “Glam it Up,” aimed at junior high and high school girls, dealing with the issues of being hip, cool, stylish, and still modest. As with all her work, it is her desire to make a difference and inspire faith.
