1978, Grease

Awe yes, the sound of a classic musical always sends me hopping to my toes. If you haven't yet experienced the 1978 movie, Grease its a musical you'll want to see. I chose to give Grease five stars because of its simple story and yet thrilling dance worthy songs. Each character's character comes out in every song that is sung. With every note sang and every foot tapping, Grease brings to life your deepest desire to break out in random dance while working hard at your job or cleaning house. Oh sure, some people find the concept of random dancing a bit nutty, but I find it exhilarating; putting joy and happiness into the mixer of life.

Diversity is one of the key themes found in this timeless classic as we watch Sandy, a "good girl," and Danny, a greaser struggle to find their common ground after learning they attend the same high school. Sandy and Danny wonder if they can rekindle the love found during their summer together, as they look at the differences in their high school hang out groups and styles. Do they stick to their status quo? Or will they reunite and bring their groups and themselves back together again? Watch, dance, and sing if you haven't already done so.

Musicals are where its at for me. For those of you who may not go for the theatrical stylings of movie watching, stay tuned for future posts on other films as I continue to take a blast into the past, remembering all the wonderful films created.
